Police, Camera, Action.

Last night I watched a Police, Camera, Action and it just re-iterated to me just how important it is to be handsfree whilst driving. Not only does it save you money, and points on your licence but more importantly it saves lives, especially those of children.

People juggling with Phones, Sat Navs, and even dogs (as one girl showed) is just far to distracting and makes you drive a lot more dangerously. Reflecting on the program it just shows that you drive more erratically when on your mobile phone pressed against your ear than you do when you drink drive. To me that shows just how dangerous it is. I can't do anything about a dog sitting on your lap or you eating a big mac, but we can do something about technology and the way in which we use it.

Below are just a few examples what is out there to save you money, your licence and more importantly a life.

Sat Navs - If you own a sat nav why not get a bracket for it, or why not get a bracket that holds both your mobile and sat nav. People messing about with sat navs, taking their eyes off the road is highly dangerous, no matter where your driving. If your using a sat nav you must always type in where you want to go at the beginning of a journey not in the middle.

Mobile Phones - there's not much we can do when it comes down to people texting other than they shouldn't do it. What we can do is give them a handsfree option when it comes to ringing, as we all know it's good to talk. When it comes to handsfree you have three options a Bluetooth headset, Bluetooth sun visor kit, or an installed Bluetooth handsfree car kit.

Bluetooth headsets and sun visor kits are relatively cheap and you can get a headset from as little as £7.50 , or you could get a sun visor kit for as little as £35.99. (It is called a sun visor kit because they are able to clip onto your sun visor).

The last option is more expensive but still a very good idea. These are handsfree car kits that are professionally installed into you car, these are more expensive but gernerally come with an iPod/iPhone connection, so not only can you listen to your radio & music but you could also make and receive calls.

All these products can be found a www.fonejuice.co.uk and are a good way to help save lives and you money and points.
